The above person is the opportunity to correct a "hot spot". However ... are not necessarily caused by fleas. I do not recommend giving Benadryl does not solve this problem. Take him to the vet. He CLIP / cleaning the area and make ointments and sprays for you. (if a hot spot) probably consists of steroids, with the itching and redness, and some antibiotics may help to pacify the region. It is a very cheap when it comes to a hot spot. Please attach to any objects, to the vet because it could aggravate the problem.

This is similar to what veterinarians call a "hot spot" too. As a rule, obtained by fleas. You can give Benadryl (the kind of people) for itching, but not to win. Stay calm itching. Even a single flea bite can cause this problem. I had a dog, "was allergic" bullets, and that this would happen. Never heard of a dog that is allergic to fleas!
